About the Peaks Island Health Association
The Peaks Island Health Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization devoted to facilitating and supporting the delivery of health services on Peaks Island, both for island residents and visitors.
Our primary focus is on supporting the continuing operation of the Peaks Island Health Center in connection with our current provider, MaineHealth’s Maine Medical Partners Family Medicine practice. We respond to the needs of the clinic facility with financial and practical support and we advocate for our community so that islanders can access high quality health care close to home.
Beyond the health center facility, we also coordinate independent vaccine clinics, award scholarships to islanders who are pursuing healthcare-related education, and facilitate and support informative programming and community discussions around a wide variety of health topics.
